Active Compassion That Serves
ACTIVE COMPASSION THAT SERVES (ACTS) is YNCC’s Local Outreach ministry that provides immediate and tangible ways for YNCC members to express their compassion through specific serving opportunities called “Chapters.”
ACTS Chapters are various events held throughout the year that encourages YNCC members to engage in outreach and serving opportunities to benefit the local Lincoln Heights community and the surrounding geographic area. Our events include an annual fundraising hike, a book and school supply drive for local elementary schools, teaching opportunities through the SAT and Writing workshops and the Christmas Toy Drive. As we grow together with the community, the hope is that even more events will become part of the ACTS family.

ACTS Chapters
ACTS 2.2 - Albion Elementary School
Our second event for ACTS is to support Albion Elementary School that is located just a block away from our church. Last year, we reached our goal to provide ‘homework kits’ for 400 students at Albion Elementary School and 180 books for their 6th grade library.
We hope to achieve our goal again by providing 420 school supply kits and expand their non-fiction titles for their library by donating 100 books.
