Women of Worship (WOW)
WOW MINISTRY is here to support and equip women in attaining the full expression of Christ as we worship Him.
And we do so by the following means:
- Gathering corporately for fellowship and learning
- Providing resources for personal growth as well as to encourage women in areas of their gifting in a safe and comfortable setting
- Getting together for prayer, worship, fellowship and sharing of personal stories
Women's ministry began as an off shoot of couples ministry. We felt a safety in meeting with other women in all walks of life for encouragement, learning and fellowship that led into who we are today.
Ministries and Events
Annual WOW Retreat
Once a year, anywhere from 60 to 100 women retreat from our everyday lives, just for 24 hours, to gather together as women of God. Previous attendees often remark of its significant life impact and how we were able to stretch our short time together. New friendships and accountable relationships are formed here while we experience deeper personal encounters with God, self and one another. This event is the cornerstone of the YNCC’s women’s ministry.
We would like to let you know that the WOW retreat is coming earlier this year. Save the date for March 23-24. We want to imprint March as the annual WOW retreat month from this year on. Mark your calendars for a special women's getaway. We are excited about who God is inviting to come speak and what message He wants to deliver through her. Praise and Prayer nights
WOW praise and prayer nights are usually held twice a year on Saturday for 3-4 hours to promote a time of prayer and worship among women at YNCC. Women have the exclusive opportunity to worship with their fellow sisters and to pray for and with one another. It is a good time for newcomers to join and meet other women or current members to connect with one another in a more meaningful way.
