Bible in One Year Passages:
Mark 8:1-13, 1 Corinthians 14:1-12, Judges 18
52 Blessed be the LORD forever! Amen and Amen.
Psalmist writes in verses 38 - 45 how the Lord has cast off, rejected and brought full wrath upon his anointed. It further describes the plight of anointed; of how he has lost his splendor, covered in shame while his enemies rejoice. Psalmist then questions how long Lord's wrath will last in verse 46 and questions the promise of steadfast love the Lord in verse 48. He reminds the Lord about shortness of his time and and how he is being mocked. Yet psalmist ends with "blessed be the LORD forever!" It is as if Psalmist knows God will answer his cries and gives him praise even in the midst of all the troubles.
How sad would it be if I gave up hope because of troubles I face everyday ? As Jesus has overcome death, I'll rejoice, give thanks, glory and trust in God's mercy, grace and in his perfect plan. I'll proclaim blessed be the LORD forever and forever ! Amen, Amen.
Father God, thank you for faithfulness in the past, now and tomorrow. For truly you have been good to me and has been, is and will be with me. I give you all the glory, praise, and worship. On this easter Sunday when Jesus is indeed risen, blessed be your name forever and ever. Amen.
