Bible in One Year Passages:
Luke 17:5-10, 2 Timothy 3:1-9, Nehemiah 10
One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. (Prov 11:24) Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf. (Prov. 11:28)
Comparison between "good" vs "bad"; "right way" vs "wrong way", etc are being plainly displayed. The scripture is making a point that sometimes, for a short season, the "wicked" and "bad" are being rewarded. However, it also makes a point to ensure that the "wicked" and "bad" will get justice at the end. Further, the "good" and the "right way" will eventually triumph and be the winner.
Temptations to take the "short-cut" and doing things to "benefit" me rather than someone else is all around us. I shall meditate on God's word more to be able to discern and choose to do what is "right" or "God's way" because it is THE "right" way.
Lord, help me to do what is "right" and "good". Grant me a "discernment" to see and act upon to do what is "good" and "right" even though it will be more costly for the time being. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
