17 Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”

Observation

The one Samaritan returns to Jesus to give God praise. While all ten lepers received physical healing it appears the one Samaritan that was healed also received spiritual healing and accepted Christ as Lord. Samaritans were not accepted by Jews, but Jesus accepted the Samaritan. This is one of many examples of Christ love for all people.

Application

Today I am reminded of God's love for all. I will see people less through my eyes and seek God's perspective.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for your undying love. Thank you for accepting me even though I am a sinner. I ask for your forgiveness. Please fill me with the Holy Spirit so that I may glorify you by showing your love to those that I encounter.
