Proverbs 15:13
A glad heart makes a joyful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed.

Observation

A glad heart comes from knowing He is always watching over us. The joy on our face shines when we know that His love for us is everlasting. Our hearts will always be glad if we trust that He is there even through our darkest days.

Application

As I read this verse I think back to the last time my heart was truly filled with joy. It's been some time since I've felt the joy. Makes me pretty sad thinking back and not remembering. I think my spirit is crushed. So what can I do today? I can start by thanking Him for everything He has done for me and my family. I need to count my blessings. =)

Prayer

Father God I ask that you be the passion of my life as you were once before. I want to go back to the time when my purpose in life was you. Restore my heart with the joy of knowing you are there. Thank you father for always watching over me. I pray all these things in your precious name.
