Bible in One Year Passages:
V.36 And as he rode along, they spread their cloak on the road. V.37 As he was drawing near-already on the way down the Mount of Olives-the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and parise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, V.38 saying, "Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he sent two of his disciples to bring a tied colt that has never been sat. And when Jesus rode along, his disciples spread their cloaks on the road. They were shouting, rejoicing and praising His name during this procession. It must have been an awesome sight to be able to witness Jesus riding the colt. The crowd would have experienced the majestic and great God through this event.
If I were there, I too would have been jumping up and down , rejoicing and praising the Lord. I want to hold unto that God's majesty in my heart so that I may praise his name all the time. Rather than having a complaining heart and ungrateful attitude towards daily issues, I want to change my ways. I need to truly experience God with heart full of thanksgiving and recognizing God in my life.
Lord, I want to praise your name. I want to experience greatness of God in my life by exercising my faith as a christian. When I falter and forget your greatness, help me to remember you on a colt riding towards Jerusalem. May you be glorified today.
In Jesus name, Amen
