"The voice of the Lord"
In these 11 verses of the Psalm, the words "The voice of the Lord" appears seven times. His voice is "is over the waters," "is powerful," "is full of majesty," "breaks the cedars," "flashes forth flames of fire," "shakes the wilderness," and "makes the deer give birth and strips the forests bare,..." When God speaks, His sovereignty is demonstrated. Every part of His creation, from the birth of life to the movement of the oceans is within His call. What a mighty and powerful God is He.
There is nothing God cannot do. What He wills and commands, it is done. When I raise my petitions to Him through prayer, I recognize that my requests need to align with what He desires.
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are a mighty and awesome God. You are the Creator and Sustainer of life. Everything on earth and in the universe happens according to your will. Your voice speaks loudly through your Creation.
Amen.
