Bible in One Year Passages:
21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Talk is cheap. In order to enter the kingdom of heaven, Bible tells us to do the will of God. What then is the will of God? 1 Thes. 5:16-18 states to "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." I think these three commands are all related. How can you give thanks without praying? How can you not rejoice when you give thanks? On a similar note, Micah 6:8 also states, "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" I think what God wants us for for our love for God to permeate through our life style so that others will believe in Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
In all circumstances that may come my way, learn to do the will of God by rejoicing always, pray without ceasing and giving thanks in all circumstances.
Dear Lord, give me the strength to do the will of God today and do the things that is required of me. I trust in you that when I do these, I will learn to rejoice in you and learn to be thankful
