Give us each day our daily bread, (v. 3)

Observation

God will provide us our daily bread. This is something that we shouldn't worry about. We should have faith that God will take care of us and that we only need to concentrate on Him.

Application

Given my current employment status, this is something that I hold on to as well as worry about. The other day, my youngest son brought over a book for me to read to him. It happen to be a children's bedtime devotional stories. I randomly opened the book and started reading it to him. The story was about Peter walking on water and how he sank when he took his eyes off of Jesus. As simple reminder for me to keep my focus on Him and to trust him and believe that God will provide us our daily bread and that He has our best interest at heart.

Prayer

God help me focus on you during these uncertain times for me and my family. Show me the things that I need to learn during these times and help me to have complete faith in you.
