Verse 23: Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

Observation

There is much turmoil in this passage. There is a battle between good and evil. Jesus is separating those who will be with him and those who will be against him. He does not leave room for the middle ground. The ones who are for him are ones who obey him.

Application

I cannot be apathetic to the happenings of life. I need to make conscious decisions of the things, whether they are for Jesus or against him.

Prayer

Jesus, I want to make decisions for you. Give me the spiritual awareness to know what is for you and against you. Let me not lapse into living life just because, but make each and every thing I do for you. I want to obey you.
