Scripture

1 Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord,
who stand by night in the house of the Lord!
2 Lift up your hands to the holy place
and bless the Lord!
3 May the Lord bless you from Zion,
he who made heaven and earth!

Observation

The psalmist encourages us to give glory to God and asks for the blessings of others.

Application

May I spend more time in prayer being grateful for His mercy and grace, giving praises to Him, and asking for the spiritual blessings of others. May my life be one that focuses less on myself and more on seeking to please Him and others.

Prayer

Dear Father in Heaven,

Praises to you for being the mighty and awesome God that you are. The One who is extends grace and mercy upon us. The God who laid the foundations of the earth and the One who hung the stars in the universe. May I ask that you richly bless those who I encounter this day; that we may all find the spiritual peace that comes from knowing your Son Jesus Christ.

Amen.
