Bible in One Year Passages:
Luke 6:37-42, Philippians 4:8-9, 2 Kings 21-22
V.1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. V.2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forever.
In this chaper, the psalmist wrote our God as a protector. He protects us and surrounds us as the mountains surround Jerusalem. And we our like Mount Zion which cannot be moved or shaken but steady and firm when we trust in the Lord.
This chapter really renewed my strength as I closed my eyes and visualized what today would look like. As I begin the day, I thought about driving from a meeting to a meeting, desiring good results and outcomes from each of the meetings. I thougt about people I would be interacting with, hoping to influence them by my actions and words. And I thought about how God will be with me and surround me, protecting me from wordly ways and ideals in my interactions. I trust the Lord in His provision and guidance in directing my path aligned with His ways. Yes, I feel energized knowing that God is my protector now and forever.
Lord, thank you for your protection that surrounded my life to this day and will continue now and forever. I'm renewed in strength and energized knowing that you are my protector. Help me to be confident in my words and actions and not be shaken by others' opiniions or ideals. In Jesus name, Amen
