Bible in One Year Passages:
Matthew 27:1-10, Romans 12:9-21, Deuteronomy 18-21
1May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah 2 that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations. 3 Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!
How simple and elegant are these three verses that reveal the beauty and purpose our God has for us. Psalmist is asking God to be gracious, bless and have his face shine upon us. We are to be forgiven, blessed and be with Him. To what end? So that our God may be made known to all in the world. And all peoples many give our God praise, honor and glory.
I'm again reminded of God's goodness and how I need to share the good new with others. It is urgent. Only 2% of people in Japan are followers of Christ. Meaning 98% of people who died from the earthquake and tsunami did not know Christ.
Father God, Thank you for being gracious with me when I did not deserve it. Thank you blessing me and allowing me to be in your presence. Use me so that I can be a witness of your goodness and peoples can come to know you. I pray that I would feel the urgency. I pray that all peoples would praise, honor and give you glory.
