Bible in One Year Passages:
Matthew 27:50 And Jesus cried again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.
Jesus cried out for the second time "Eli, Eli, Lema Sabachthani."That is My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? before He died on the cross. He has gone through unbearable physical suffering but here is Jesus crying out perhaps the most unbearable pain: physical separation from God. We all have fallen short of Glory of God because of our sins and we would have to be the ones to suffer the most unbearable pain of eternal separation from God. Yet, Jesus took it upon Himself so that we may have eternal life. He became our "connector" to our God.
I am reminded once again the significance of Jesus' death on the cross. This life I live, I really should and must live with intentionality. Just as JESUS is the "Connector" to our God, I too need to be a "connector" with those around me. I want to do this because I've been given a life through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Lord, thank you for your death on the cross that I may live and have this relationship with you. May I be a "connector" to those who seek God so that You may be glorified through me.
In Jesus name, Amen.
