Bible in One Year Passages:
Mark 14:43-52, Galatians 2:11-21, 2 Samuel 13
(1) The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool."
(5) The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
David sings of the relationship of God the Father and God the Son and how Jesus Christ the Son that has come as the Lamb of God to save the world from sin is now the King of Kings to judge the nations. We foresee God's plan of Jesus' place to be the Lord or Lords to have his enemies below his feet and to have His wrath destroy the emenies.
I am reminded of how God's plan has always been in place to save us and defeat our enemies through Christ from the very beginning. Many speak of the "difference" between Old and the New testament, especially around the Jewish rules and legalisms, but what is consistent throughout the entire Bible is that it all speak of God's love and how Jesus has always been the plan to not only be the Lamb to save humanity but to also be the ultimate ruler and judge - This passages is another example of the foretold prophecy of Jesus' rule and place. I am constantly amazed and filled with thanksgiving for God's love and plan for us - that we have been chosen by Him to be on His side to be saved, and not at other end of His wrath.
God, thank you for your amazing love to save us and sending your Son for us. From beginning of time you have planned His rule over the earth and we pray that we will sing praises to Him for all our lives. I pray, in the name of our ruler and saver, Jesus, Amen.
