Scripture

Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord,
at the presence of the God of Jacob,

Observation

I am reminded of God's sovereignty over all of the earth, over His creation. That I need to acknowledge His dominion and control over all things including the sea, earth and all the things around me.

Application

I want to be able to "step back" from the immediate and acknowledge that my God is to be given all of the glory for what He is constantly and purposely doing in my life and in the world around me. To have the right perspective in looking at my world and circumstances and to hold all that I am up to God.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for reminding me that the world and all that is in it falls under your control. Let me understand this more completely and personally so that I can honor you with my thoughts and my actions. Let me more fully give you the glory that is yours in my life. In Jesus's precious name, amen.
