Scripture

Light is sown for the righteous,
and joy for the upright in heart.

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous,
and give thanks to his holy name! (Psalm 97:11-12)

Observation

Righteousness is the proper response to the awe and majesty of God. He is a terror to those that hide in darkness but a joy to those that seek righteousness.

Application

The big news is that Osama is dead. What a way to live, to seek the destruction of so many because of a twisted logic and a perverted world view. That is darkness. Light and joy are promised to those that seek righteousness.

Prayer

Lord, help me to seek the light and joy that is promised to those that seek righteousness.
