Bible in One Year Passages:
11:6 And they told them what Jesus had said, and they let them go. 7 And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it. 8 And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields. 9 And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! 10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”
Some people offered colt, others spread their cloaks on the road, and still others spread leafy branches, paving the way for our Lord. Additionally, there were others who went before and those who followed, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! 10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!” As easy as it could've been for Jesus to enter majestically without any of them, many were involved in His entrance to Jerusalem. What a cooperation and contribution for our Lord Jesus Christ.
Not that He needs me, but in the same way that Jesus involved many people during His entrance to Jerusalem, God allows me and encourages me to join Him in his master plan of salvation for all people. God is so gracious in allowing a sinner like me to spread the gospel. He even allows me to do contibute in ways most fitting for me, whether it be by offering time, material goods, friendship, talents,.... as those who offered colt, cloak, branches, shouting...
Lord, I praise you for your greatness, for allowing even sinners like myself to be a contributor in the expansion of your kingdom. I offer you all that you've bless me with: health, time, talents, material goods, friends, family, and much more, that they may be used towards expanding your kingdom. Amen.
