Journal Entry

Scripture

25 Of old you laid the foundation of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 They will perish, but you will remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away,
27 but you are the same, and your years have no end.
28 The children of your servants shall dwell secure;
their offspring shall be established before you. (ESV)

Observation

God remains the same throughout all generations. He promises that everything that exists on this earth will pass away and vanish, but His children’s future is secure in His presence.

Application

This passage is a wonderful reminder for all of us who believe in Jesus Christ that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He has proven to be faithful to His promises over and over throughout the history for example when He delivered Israel from captivity from many nations and most importantly by providing salvation through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. By these accounts, I can be sure that He will remain unchanged and I can completely trust Him in all areas of my life.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your assurance that you will never change and you will remain faithful to keep your promise to take care of your people. I’m so humbled by your love and grace. Please help me to put my trust in you in all aspects of my life so that I can experience the true joy and peace that you offer even in my difficult situations. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
