Bible in One Year Passages:
Luke 24:13-27, Hebrews 12:1-13, Isaiah 59-60
An evil man is ensnared in his transgression,
but a righteous man sings and rejoices.
The comparison between "right" and "wrong" are clearly stated and it is not just for behavior on my own but a lot of the verses talk about how one interacts with others. My righteous behavior impacts those around me and I am also called not to enter into negative or wasteful discussions/arguments with "fools" and "evil men." It is a sobering message that encourages me to be more thoughful and intentional about my behavior and communication.
To reflect upon these verses and to allow the word to help me put current circumstances around me in better context. This is both in my "church life" as well as my life at work and at home. Wisdom and understanding are worthy to be sought after and I want to allow the word to guide me in this way today.
Lord, thank you for your revelation today and not just reminding me but encouraging me to live a wise life that brings life to me and those around me. Give me a better understanding of the circumstances around me and the condition of the people in my life so that I can be better able to be a positive influence in what I do and say. Let me sing and rejoice with absolute freedom in you. Thank you for loving me and giving me peace in you. In Jesus's name...Amen
