Bible in One Year Passages:
Luke 24:28-35, Hebrews 12:14-29, Isaiah 61-62
v.16 When the wicked increase, transgression increases, but the righteous will look upon their downfall.
v.18 Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.
v.25 The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.
Today's message focus on those who trust God and know of God. When the wicked increase and sin prevails, the righteous ones reflect and look upon their fall. When people ignore God and do not experience His messages in their lives, they cast off restraint and easily live in sin. But the blessed are those who keep the law, remembering God's word to live a righteous life. When people fear men and believe that they will be harmed, they live in a life filled with stress and a life consumed by fear. But whoever trusts in the Lord is safe and free from fear of men. In every aspect of our lives, we need to keep His word and increase our knowledge of His word so that we may live the life God has planned for us.
I want to think about how I may increase my knowledge of God today. There are so many distractions throughout the day that consumes my mind. I wonder how often I converse with God and ask Him about what I am doing is a right thing or not each day. I want to reflect my behaviors, fears and sins in my life upon God's words, then change my ways when necessary; knowing that in Him I am cared for and safe in all circumstances.
Lord, thank you for your words today. I want to increase my knowledge of You today through meditation of your words so that I may be disciplined, protected, and cared for by You and you alone.
In Jesus Name, Ament
