AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.” It is based on our foundational Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:15: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (NIV) The purpose of the AWANA ministry is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to train them to serve Him. Our students range in age from pre-Kindergarten to high school. You have a heart for kids, we have many different areas of service from troop leaders, administration, game/sports leaders and many other areas you can get involved in.
